interface lagging after force close reboot

actually, not just the interface is lagging, but the entire phone!
i was doing an app update, finished it. then went home. but home wouldn't load and a force close option showed up so i chose to close it.
and after that the screen just kept blacking out and lagging a lot.
so i reboot the phone...and the problem still exists.
what can i do to get my phone back to how it was before?

This happened to everyone that updated the Antivirus app. Uninstall the Antivirus app and reboot your phone and it will be fine.

It was something to do with the "AntiVirus" update on New Years eve. Not sure what happened but I had to un-install as did a friend of mine. I am SOOOOOO glad the Droid tells you what was updated most recently so it was easy to find

Uninstall the anit-virus. You don't need it anyway. It's a comfort app... there are no confirmed viruses on Android so it's not really serving any purpose... other than to make you feel warm and fuzzy

I would agree with AntiVirus being a "comfort app". If a virus were ever developed the market place would be scanned by better software than that and a virus ridden app wouldn't get more than 3 stars
