I've got a weird problem on my brand new Nexus 6. To my surprise, my text messages integrated properly (using Titanium Backup, from Droid RAZR HD on Cyanogen 4.3.1). Everything is there in the stock messenger, in order, showing the right "most recent activity". But then I restored Handcent. And while _most_, but not all, of the contacts are in order, the most recent activity is wrong.
Second, now when I edit contacts (such as for my workplace), it places a blank message in Hancent (but not stock).
Thirdly, I can't delete any messages from Handcent.
And finally, it's not just Handcent that's doing this. It's all 3rd party messengers I've downloaded.

Lollipop 5.1. Rooted. Not sure what other information would be needed, but I'm happy to provide.

Hmm.. I don't like titanium for message restore bc as I've experienced similar issues with restoring.. Once I had wrong contact number displaying different message content.. Helium has been the better choice for restoring...if you still have messages on old phone you can try an app like Helium or Sms backup and try sync it over to new phone.. Although it's good you got Google messenger correctly.. Which I'd ditch Handcent IMO..

I use SMS backup & restore and have not had any problems. It gives you many options for backing up (from all dates or specific dates, all messages or only messages for specific people, etc). You could try either helium or SMS backup & restore on your N6. Uninstall handscent first then backup your messages. Once backed up, restore your messages. Then reinstall handscent. See if that makes a difference.

Do Helium or SMS Backup & Restore handle MMS messages? I know I was looking for a way to transfer messages a few years back when the restored messages caused massive errors. Everything I found would do SMS, but not MMS.

SMS B&R does backup mms messages also. I'm not sure about helium.
