I
was asking questions earlier on these threads trying to find the right tethering program (I don't want to root my phone yet). It seems to me like this program is exactly what I'm looking for. Has anyone used it? Is all I dream it will be and more?

My Background: I'm a first time smartphone owner (will be tomorrow anyways). My last phone was this for the past...3 or 4 years, I dunno:

There are free WiFi tethering alternatives, so I don't see the need for a wired tether using PDANet. I have used it in the past and it works fairly well, although, it doesn't look like they've updated their app in a long time.

Also...considering you own a Nexus, you probably should just root it and then use WiFi tether. WiFi Tether + WiFi Tether widget makes tethering a piece of cake. I've gotten 20+ Mbps while tethering over WiFi from my phone.

PDAnet I use it a lot, but have issues with it on my macbook pro not letting me connect to netflix or facebook sometimes.
I currently use the built in wifi tether on Liquidsmooth rom beta 5 and works perfectly...

I just got my phone about an hour ago and got the app installed. I may consider doing your method later, but as of now, it's working perfectly and I couldn't be happier.

pdanet is old school. there is no need to even consider it when you can do everything and more wirelessly with a different app, without root.
