If Android Device Manager has been activated on the device, is it possible to reset it remotely?

Well the buyer returned the phone.she couldn't get it to activate.I get it back and put my gmail in and the phone loads up. WTF ! Guess she decided she didn't really want the phone. I don't know .

I wonder if it's bc it was already activated before with your gmail. From what I understand, unless you remove your account via device manager, the phone can only be activated with the account associated with device manager.

That's what I was thinking. Very similar to Find My iPhone unless the owner removes it first before sending it off. I'm sure Google is already working on something to disable it if you no longer have the phone.
