Problem with syncing phone with computer

How do you install Samsung Kies?

Download it to your PC and then run it.

Can I just download it to phone and remove my SD card and install it to PC that way?

Downloaded Kies but won't open due to no Internet. I went to Device Manager on PC and it shows the device. Downloaded latest drivers and installed them on PC. Is there anything else I should need?
