Below are the test results when I ran a speed test on both 4g Lte and 3g in my coverage area.

Not necessarily true. The 4G band just might not be strong enough to reach you. 3G has a stronger penetration.

Absolutely. You're simply in a weak area and this definitely isn't the "norm" for most folks.
(I was just wondering, are these speeds at your home?)

I should have clarified. Where I live, I am surrounded by a million thinhs that could effect the 4g signal. 3 g single isn't so much bothered by obstructions in it's path.

I agree, and I believe she knows that, since 4G runs at higher frequencies and they don't permeate solid structures as well.

Yep, my 4G speeds are always weaker at home as well. Living on the ground floor of a three story apt complex, makes for a lot of interference. These are my speeds at home.... Off peak speeds are usually 1 1/2 - 2 times the speeds and anywhere around town it's 3-4 X this.

That said, 10mbps down is more than sufficient to do whatever I want (whether its simply using my device as is, or using my hotspot to tether my laptop or TV) without causing any buffering issues.

This thread is great, made me check again as my 4G has been minimal at home, and they (BigV) must be fixing things, and that's a welcome thing as my WiFi had been poor until finally getting Cox to get their real techs on site to fix it.

Yes, they are at my home. We only have 2 towers to pull from in a 30 or so mile radius. We are smack dab in the middle of the triangle. Also well below elevation

When I was with Verizon and its craptacular 4g service in my world I just switched to 3g and everything was fine. Then Android (or Samsung or Verizon) took away the ability to force select and from that point it was just a matter of time before I jumped ship. My twin brother has stuck with Verizon and still complains about horrid results and lack of abilities. My work uses Verizon and I get texts from co-workers hours to days after they're sent and they get my replies within seconds.
Rock solid 3g beats the snot out of weak 4g every time, especially indoors.

Here is my LTE on the best network in the country. Notice my dBm? And I'm in one of the first LTE networks built.
