Ringtones

Ok so I've been trying to create a ringtone using mixer and another ringtone app, I think its called MP3 Ringtone or something like that.. and every time that I've tried to make a ringtone, it didn't work. Like when I check my sound settings, it says unknown ringtone and ends up playing a random ringtone. What can I do to create my ringtone? Is it my phone or the app?? Help plz!

Haven't tried this personally yet but have you tried just going in and putting the file in your ringtone or notification folder with the others?
