Risk of (lack of) Milestone updates?

Market Enabler and Backup for Root

So far, my reasons for needing the root on the milestone are those. I also don't know if you all read the "official" milestone forum that moto hosts. Here is a link to a relevant discussion going on there:

Its interesting to read along since I also post there using the same name as here. Limits my confusion on the forums I join to see what various people are saying about the milestone.

I registered with other android forums for milestone matters with same name. Im reading the threads now, hope the updates jump to 2.1. I hate to see a new phone with latest and better features come before the updates. I just wish it come sooner.

I just got an information from one of our MODS who contacted Motorola UK, they said the Update is DEFINETELY coming in JANUARY 2010!!!
Now thats good news
