Rooted D1 and FRG83G

I have a rooted Droid 1 and keep getting prompted to download and update to FRG83G. Does anybody know if this will affect or effect the root?

If you have a custom recovery then it will block the install.. or should at least. You should make a nandroid backup of your rom and flash a custom, up to date rom that has frg83d + built in .. a lot of roms are going to gingerbread too.... but if you rooted with z4root, and havent flashed a custom recovery, then the ota will steal root and you will need a pc to reroot....
