KitKat was considered a major update and alot of times apps need to be updated to be completely compatible.

You can try clearing the cache of Skype and see if that helps, but it does seem more like Skype needs to be updated as Jeffrey mentioned.

My Skype updated a few days ago. This has been happening since the kitkat update. I don't think it's Skype this time. It something to do with the update. Heard there's a bug in the camera program. Need to know how to get rid of it.

There are 3 "bugs" associated with KM and none are camera.

WiFi Signal
Bluetooth

Have you uninstalled it and reinstalled it?
