Tether....

Hi everyone, I have the a first gen Droid. I would like to set it up to tether. Can someone please offer some layman's terms assistance. Thanks!

You have a couple of options -- I'll let you research them and decide.

1) Use PDANet or EasyTether

2) Root your phone and use Wireless Tethering

Neither option is terribly challenging, but I'll leave it up to you to decide.

The best one, hands down, requires root and is linked to in my signature. For non-root users the best one is up for debate, whether it's via PDA Net or EasyTether *free limited trials or no HTTPS access without payment*, but if you're techy at all you can get and use Proxoid for free.
