Teclast X98 Air 9.7 inch Win8.1 + Android 4.4 3G Phone Tablet PC

Courtesy of our supporting vendor, GearBest, I bring to you a video review of one of their premium products. Take a look at the Teclast tPad X98 Air 3G tablet (they're calling it a Phablet since it can also make phone calls on a 3G network, so I'll use that from here on...). It's a high quality Phablet, advanced in design, Dual-Boot, both Android and Windows, includes premium features and is priced extremely competitive.

GearBest has impressed me with not only this tablet, but with all the new and exciting products they are offering, and as mentioned in the video, they've opened up two remote warehouses...one here in the USA and another in Europe. They just announced this week that phones have arrived in the US warehouse as well, so again pretty exciting stuff. Delivery from the US warehouse to US destinations will be swift and free of any Customs delays or disruptions.

Please take time to view the video, I tried to keep it short and sweet (for those who know me, they know that's quite a task!). Then please take a moment to visit the GearBest thread in our Supporting Vendors forum, or click here (Gearbest | Android Forum at DroidForums.net), and take a peek at all the exciting products they offer to our members.

Also, I must admit that even I didn't realize just how many different product lines they are carrying, but here's just the top categories list for your information:

**UPDATE: Since this tablet was sent to me, only a few short weeks ago, GearBest is now offering an enhanced version and at an incredible price. The new model (Teclast X98 Air Win10 + Android4.4 3G Phablet), comes pre-installed with both Android KitKat 4.4.4 AND Windows 10 (instead of 8.1), with Office 365, and is now running at a clock speed of 2.16 GHz (up from the maximum 1.5 GHz of the review device).

Yes @johnomaz , it's really an incredible buy. I was impressed with the Windows 8.1 and 1.5 GHz, so I'm sure I'd be nothing less than amazed with Windows 10 and 2.16 GHz. Otherwise, they appear to be essentially the same device, same display and all. Either way, it's an tremendous value IMHO. Just think, for nearly the cost of a "name brand" tablet of the same size and style, and similar specs, you can buy 2 or even 3 of them and give them to the kids.

Thanks @dgstorm , @TisMyDroid & @wicked ! I am a bit of a perfectionist (ya think???), so I won't tell you how exactly many takes of that I did before I got to the one I posted, but let's just say I passed 2 centuries. My first 2 or 3 that were worthy of posting were upwards of 11 minutes long, but I was concerned that they might lose attention of the viewers, so I trimmed it a good bit.

I wasn't even really totally happy with that one, since I made two obvious mistakes. I said "SD Card Slot" where I should have said "SD Card", and I said "6.7" instead of "6 to 7" for hours of battery life. But if you folks who have not done reviews on video were to know just how difficult it is to get the entire thing right on one non-stop take, you'd understand my frustration. I also had a bit of an auto-focus issue in two places, but overall I hope it's complementary to the product and that the vendor will be pleased.

I have watched many a review and even pros like MKBHD do theirs in segments, edited and pieced together. It's far less often you see the entire video in one take, and if you do, there are usually lots of pauses, bobbles and such. Still, for my first try I am happy with how it came out.

Was that a protective film on the back of the tablet?

Haha, yeah it was. I didn't want to scratch it up so I left it on, but strangely it started to bubble up in places so I eventually took it off.
