Will rooting and a rom make me want to keep my phone?

At this point I'm getting so fed up with all the issues on this phone I'm thinking about selling it on craigslist for what little I can get and just activating my D2 again. Any chance rooting and putting on a different rom would clear up some of these issues, or just make it worse?

P.S. Sorry for posting multiple times in different places about ICS messing up so badly. I don't have the money for a new phone and this one is barely usable anymore. Worked perfect on GB, a few days ago.

A Factory reset may cure what ails you...especially if the issues you're having are ICS update related.

I did a factory reset, but I seem to still be having some issues.

not sure what your issues are, but i was on cleanrom 4.3 pro CMW recovery and it kept rebooting, so i upgraded to cleanrom 4.5 and amonRa, still same thing. Per scott's suggestion (scott rom), I installed RUU 4.0.3.605.2 and very stable thus far
