I have an xt908 on alltel wireless and the Verizon ROMs for the xt912 work fine as long as I edit the build.prop to use 3G only.

I thought the same thing, but a couple of devs said absolutely not.

If you have safe strap installed it can't hurt to try as long as you have a backup

I can install a rom but then it tells me to install my sims card. That's when I have trouble seeing that I don't have one

Not yet. They tell me it wil be early summer before we can bring it in for the update

What rom have you tried? All of them seems you have to be on 4.1.2

I got it here in hazard last week. Definitely worth it. Fast as hell

Well i finally did it. I currently have an xt908 from Appalachian running 4.2.2. I used safestrap and cyanogenmod 10.1.
