Ok everyone you wanted a tutorial here you go.
This if for instructional purposes only, I'm not responsible if you break your phone.
Step 1. Get the patched 2.1 Rom here --> http://www.sendspace.com/file/frqze0
Step 2. Place PB00IMG.zip onto your phones SD card
Step 3. make sure phone is off and hold Power button and Call Button.
Step 4. the menu opens quickly press the power key over the hboot option.
Step 5. Follow the instructions onscreen to install the update. the phone will reboot a few times.

make a backup and remeber this ROm is done at your own risk

im downloading no, gonna give it a try

*UPDATE* Works great so far, it does do a wipe of the user data though so be sure to backup anything you might want to hold onto

2.1 For Eris Has Leaked

For those of you who have the Eris and have been waiting for a little love to come your way, we may have it for you here. There is a leaked ROM out of China that is now available, however this may not be the final version for the Eris and it may be several months before Verizon actually releases this. However if you're and adventurous type and can't wait, this may be something of interest to you.

You have to admit.. This is clever on HTC's part... Leak the ROM, get the public to test it, look for any bugs, and provide feedback. Then when the "official" rom gets released it's 100% bug free and HTC gets praised for having a problem free release...

^^

Don't see hbooter

Does it delete all your apps and contacts? I'm not concerned about my apps, but i have a lot of time in contact list!:droideris:

It says choose the "hboot" option.

I only see Bootloader, Reboot, Reboot Boatloader..........

Which is hboot? I'm a newbie

just tap the power key over Bootloader is what i did and it went through everything to look for the rom and then it will ask you if you want to update and then its pretty much on autopilot once you select yes to update

*edit* oh and btw youtube app works now too

sweet, waiting for it to download on my slow ass work connection, its 2010 and I am downloading at 36k a second.....*screams*
