2.1's new Yahoo mail update sounds messy!

There's a weird footnote in the official Verizon pdf (link below) on the update saying that either Yahoo mail and/or the new sign-in or something "is not available when using Verizon wifi."

Wondering what that even means and wanted to alert people. I use wifi on my droid whenever I'm home. And it's verizon's service...

Anyone have any idea what this could be about? It seems so arbitrary...

should be fine on home wifi. i dont know what they mean by verizon wifi. i think they mean a verizon wifi hotspot but that makes no sense. verizon doesn't own home wifi anyway. even if you have the verizon service, technically its not verizon wifi.

not sure what that means, but i know that yahoo mail setup as pop3 or imap does not work when on a wifi connection

My guess? They want you to login to the physical site when you are on wifi because there are more ads and Yahoo makes money off of it.

Just my little conspiracy theory.

Sounds as plausible as any. Just so odd. Been waiting for the yahoo fix for ages...would love an official explanation.

Why would Google allow Verizon to set it up so their competitor earns more ad revenue?
