2.3.3 Gingerbread OTA update zip file download

Where do i get the froyo update for droid pro?

Sent from my DROID Pro using DroidForums

Did you backup your froyo rom before upgrading to gb?? If you did you could simply flash your recovery rom back to the phone....if not, you'll have to search thru the site here to find a froyo updated zip....id help but I just finished changing over to gb and I lost my root....along with tethering...:(

I just dodged a HUGE bullet...so I finally got my recovery to take the gb update.zip...took about 10 minutes to upgrade.... when I went to reboot...it got stuck on the droid eye screen for 30 minutes....and I tried rebooting into recovery, would not let me into recovery....somehow, miraculously after 10 minutes of me freaking out...my phone responded and TAda! My droid pro is now running gb! !! Scary ordeal though....ohh and I lost my root:( wonder iii z4root works with gb??

Is there any app that works for gingerbread to turn on and off data connection?

There's no way to root the OTA Gingerbread update at the moment. The only way to get rooted Gingerbread is to install the update through the Team Black Hat app. So, if the OTA Gingerbread update has been installed, you can't flash a recovery of a previous backup because you won't have root access.

I don't even think an update.zip from Froyo would work after you've upgraded to Gingerbread. A SBF flash might be the only way to downgrade to Froyo from Gingerbread.

thank u lots, worked flawlessly on the first try....... did a clean format straight away just to know how GB is.....
cheers n thanks.....

Yeah I think im reflashing to stock..id rather run 2.2.1 froyo w/ root and tethering than run 2.3 gb without root.....unless someone has a solution to the rooting problem....

I was thinking of flashing to 2.8.3 as well. However since flashing to GB i haven't had any random reboots of my phone. So I will patiently wait for GB rooting to be available and enjoy a phone that doesn't reboot on it's own.

I never rooted the latest update of Froyo so I am not missing it to much. I really like GB so far much nicer to move through once you get used to the new launcher and static icons.

Anybody who updated to this GB leak and uses the phone outside the US with a foreign sim card continued with the famous GSM connectivity issue or this update fixed that?

i live in nz and brought the droid pro form the US, it was locked when i bought it, so got an unlock code online, since then i have had no issues with the network..... even the new GB update works fine.......everythings perfect

ahhh i still keep getting status 7 errors when trying to do the update and yes i did unzip the download file and extracted the update.zip and put on my sd card.

I bought this phone from ebay, and now I am using it in Indonesia.
I try to factory reset and using update.zip from stock recovery, but there's status 7 error.
There's also 'E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command' in recovery.

My system version is: 2.26.99.XT610.Verizon.en.US
Baseband version: N_01.53.00R
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-g7d7b583

Did I miss something here? I'm completely noobs in DP.. Thanks before.. :)
