I think I took my phone back to stock a couple months ago, but I've never received any OTA updates. Does somebody have a system build and/or kernel version number just for my piece of mind?

If you have time, I recommend using GigaJake's method.

However, I just returned my phone and didn't SBF. I just uninstalled safestrap and used the stock recovery to do a factory reset. My safestrap backups were on my SD card and I wiped everything on the internal SD card before sending it back.

You dont want to hear this but you probably just had debris in the plug. Fixed mine with dustoff.
