are you rooted, what rom are you using -- if your not rooted are you using any apps like juice defender, etc. explain yourself. you could just be running something you shouldn't be running due to technical difficulty.

you can try this method and see if your phone is set up the right way just a thought trying to be helpful
Go to your dialer and enter this code
*#*#4636#*#*
Then click the first option, then go down to where it says cdma auto, and click it to open the drop down menu, then click EVDO only. This makes 3g the surpreme leader of the phone, and completly drops the ability to make calls or recive them. After you're done simply leave the programming menus. If you want to recive calls again, go back and select cdma auto (the choice your phone had by default)

hey whats that supose to mean? im just trying to help and i do have lots of droid phones but every one of them work and all the ones that are not currently in use are all at stock 2.2 frg22d only the d2's that i have currently activated are the rooted ones lol

i know i was just trying to give you a hard time but seriously if you dont feel like getting under a new contract i will give you one hell of a deal on a droid i feel like i have to give back to this forum somehow as ive been in sticky situations and got bailed out by others helping me so im willing to give back by giving you a screaming deal i promise i think everyone should have a droid i also have 1 eris that i forgot to mention as well lol the eris was only activated for 1 month i just dont care for that phone
no no no i love to spend time and see what all in going on and what people are doing with there phones i said out of all my phones that i would part from only one that im keep all others i love my droids way to much money isnt worth selling if i sold all them then i would have anything to do late at night anymore

Perhaps sopmeone here can help me with a 3G issue I have.
I live in NYC and take the subway daily, when I enter the subway I loose all service (of course) but when I exit the subway I get phone service quickly but it can take up to 5 miutes to get 3G service.
Is there something I can do to get 3G service to force connection (besides rebooting)

I had the same problem and verizon sent me a new phone.My 3g would cut out when it wanted to.and if you went in the menu it said "Starting moble network'but it would never connect.Turning the phone off and restarting ALWAYS brought it back.But its still not right.After taking it to the store while it was acting up and documenting everything...verizon sent me a factory reconditioned Incredible AND a Motorola X.I get to keep the one i want and send back the other.They felt my phone had a hardware problem and the internal modem was going bad.Since this was the 2ND phone they had sent me they offered me a 3rd OR another brand.Since I like the bigger screen on the X I think I'll go with it..but still thinking and deciding..

Did you call them for this problem or go to the store? Mine is about a 10 months old.
I went to the store while the 3g was out and showed them the menu saying it was trying to connect but never did...MAKE SURE you have them document ALL problems..This was my 2nd time there,the first time it froze while rebooting and said powering off for over an hour.I told the store the HTC was junk and wanted the Motorola.But they only offered me the original Motorola droid and I wanted the new X since its compatible to the incredible.They would not agree to it so I called tech service..had them review all my problems and they are sending me a droid X..the store put in a request for another incredible..so tech service said pick one and send the other back.Since reconditioned phones no NOT come with a back or battery because most phones are replacing an existing one and you switch those parts Tech service rounded up a new extended battery and cover for the X along with a car charger and are sending it in a separate order.I still dont really know which one I want.When my incredible is working its a great toy.but it has had a few glitches.

I have a Motorola Droid flashed to Metro PCS and my coverage stays at 1g. I have Android 2.2, using Bugless Beast V0.5, can anyone tell me why?
