4.1.1

My Foxfi/pda.net still works on JB 4.1.1. It appears that when Verizon upgrades a phone to JB 4.1.2, they have found a way to lock out the free Foxfi. It seems that Verizon wants to squeeze you for every cent that they can get. I'm considering going to Net10.

Brian

It's not 4.1.2 and it's not verizon it is the phone manufacturers. Foxfi tells you that it will not work with most phones no matter what carrier you are on once you go to 4.1 or higher. Nothing against people on here but people need to go to Foxfi website and read about it. But verizon has nothing to do with it it is google and the manufacturer of the phones

I meant to say earlier..with the JB upgrade coming Juneish... will I be able to keep using FoxFi on my unlimited data SGN2 phone.:)

I would like to say yes. But we will not know for sure until it happens. Most phones stopped working with JB all together. But the S3 and the note2 still works with JB so I would like to think that it would still work

For everyone having problems with Foxfi since they updated to JB on the verizon network try it now Foxfi updated the app and it should work on most devices

My wife is using a Motorola Razr that was locked out of Foxfi when her phone was updated from ICS to JB 4.1.2. There is nowa PDA.net/Foxfi fix. She downloaded the updated Foxfi and her hotspot works again.

I haven't read the entire post thread of this but I just want to ask something about Foxfi on Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with Verizon on 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.. does it work? if so, have you noticed that when you start up the Foxfi app, the Verizon's native mobile hotspot app icon pops up too? what does it mean? will Verizon detect I'm using the Foxfi or? is there a safe way to use Foxfi?

If you go thru the Foxfi app no worries about any Verizon pop up.. Just ignore.. I don't use the app but I'm told it's working on latest update..

Noted 2x~4 beta

It has always worked out. The S3and the note 2. And verizon does not charge you for using Foxfi.

Really? I'm sorry for being freaked out a little lol.. so I just start up the Foxfi app, let the Verizon's mobile hotspot icon pops up on the notification and let Foxfi runs the mobile hotspot and not worrying about the Verizon's native mobile hotspot running in the background then?

I use foxfi all the time on my note 2 and I love it. I use it every day to hotspot my 2 tablets with my unlimited data fir hours at a time. Let me assure you, Verizon does not bill you for any of the usage (so long as you don't go over your data plan) and it runs very well on the phone. I would never use an app if it meant I had to give Verizon any more of my hard earned money than absolutely necessary. Lol. ;) I paid full price for my note 2 to make sure I kept my unlimited data so that I can keep using foxfi to hotspot my tabs. (I have no problem giving Samsung money)
