(4-21) Jrummy's Remix V0.7 - Cyanmod 5.0.6.2 **5 Theme Choices**

Here is a problem I had this morning and started another thread, but JRummy suggested I post here.

For starters I'm running JRummy's Remix v0.7-CyanogenMod 5.0.6.2 on my Droid and have never had any problems with it until this morning.

I woke up and noticed my alarm never went off. I pull the phone from the media dock to see what's going on when I notice all of the warnings of a bunch of apps force closing.

After clearing all the warnings the phone wants me to go through the initial setup again. I'm talking about the one you do when you first get the phone where it asks for your Gmail account info and stuff. I skipped everything, I still had all my programs and everything else, except everything had defaulted back as if I had just wiped my phone or something.

I try to open ROM Manager and it just force closes automatically. Rebooted the phone several times and did a couple of battery pulls and still having the same issue. So I reboot into recovery mode and restore my latest Nandroid backup which was just before installing JRummy's Remix.

I download and install JRummy's Remix again and I'm setting my phone back to the way I had it before, and so far it has randomly rebooted twice already.

Is anyone else experiencing any of these problems?

After having the rebooting issues, I went back to CyanogenMod 5.0.5.7 (Nandroid backup) and wasn't having any isues. I upgraded to 6.0.6.2 and downloaded JRummy's and did a wipe cache and data to start out fresh.

I downloaded and installed all my apps and started setting everything back up the way I had it, and I think I found the app giving me the problems.

As soon as I put the Beautiful Widgets Home widget on my homescreen the phone started rebooting again. I also noticed its not showing/updating the weather so there seems to be a problem with that app.

Anyone else experiencing this problem with Beautiful Widgets?

No problems with Beautiful Widgets here...

I uninstalled Beautiful Widgets and I'm still getting random reboots even when just trying to open up the stock browser.

I'm just going to go back to plain old CyanogenMod for now. Too bad I'm having these problems since I REALLY liked JRummy's Red Theme... :(

I too am having reboots on V0.7... It finally got to the point of rebooting when I tried to open ANYTHING. I even wiped cache and data twice before loading the ROM.

I didn't have problems until I installed the goodies and ran some of the scripts, so maybe one of those is breaking something important.

For those experiencing reboots do you have jit enabled? What are your profiles for setcpu?

IDk if anybody is having this problem, but if i have media playing, and launch maps, the media stops. no matter what app is playing, podcast, slacker radio, 3d music all stop if i open maps. is there a fix for this?

Is JIT enabled by default? If it's not, then mine wasn't since I don't even know what JIT is... lol

And as far as set CPU, I was running at 1Ghz.

Like I said, this all started this morning after running it without ANY problems for the past couple of weeks, and I haven't recently installed any apps or done any updates... :(

1. Where do I find the G1 sound recorder and/or quick office? I see quick office in a listing of all applications but it shows it's 0 bytes.

2. If I download the google apps zip from 5.0.6.2, can I just pull the amazonmp3 apk file from it, put it on my root, and have astro install it?

3. Why does google talk still show up in my apps list and running services even after i ran the rmtlalk script?

Thanks

1. no idea...
2.that may work...i have not tried that as of yet...
3. try using root explorer to rename or delete google talk from system/apps after you mountrw...

Don't want to stir up any old crap, but if the rumors are true and I'm running UD10 I should not have to wipe because it's supposed to be the same ROM right?? I really want to try this ROM out because there is not much support anymore for mine. However I really don't want to wipe everything again. Someone please advise. Can I do update.zip in SPRecovery without wiping??
