4G LTE Logo Color Changes

My logo keeps changing from blue to white and my data drops. Does anyone else have this issue? I've had my SIM card replaced, my phone replaced and its still happening. So frustrating. My data is dropping about 10-15 times a day!
 
I feel your pain. I was having a really bad time with drops until I updated to 893 with an OTA update. I have been happy since.

What update are you on?

Where you having problems like this before your latest update?
 
Im on 905. Im in the Reno, NV area. The vzw guy said that my zipcode was 100% covered for 4G. Not sure what's going on.

I live in San Diego, one of the original cities that got 4G. At my house data is spotty, but a mile away 4G is rock solid.

I travel around this area quite a bit. Its spotty everywhere, eventhough they say its solid.

Spoke with Verizon Tech Rep today for the same issue. He says .905 has an authorization issue with the 4G towers. Fix is coming in ICS update.
 
Also, I, too, spoke with a tech today and they didn't say a word about that. Makes you wonder how much talking goes on inter-company.

Exactly. To the OP: This has been on going for many people since the phone's release. For people on the outer edge of 4G it is really bad because the phone doesn't handle the switch from 3g to 4g and vice versa very good as there is down time in between. To much switching. The ics leak, and i am confident the ics ota as well will resolve most of this. It has given high stability to most people including me.

Does anyone know what the white and blue logos even signify? I've never been given a solid answer. Not even from Verizon themselves...

what it means the way I understand it....when it's blue, you are connected to the Google Servers.
White, not connected to Google.
To prove this I tried many time in many towns to go to the Play Store and use GTalk when it's white...that's a negative. Doesn't work. Soon as it turns blue...bam...google login.
 
Mine started doing this about a week or two before the 905 update. After several hour long calls to VZ tech support and getting a new SIM card on Tuesday and it still not working. I called again this morning and ask to speak to the best tech person there. Go to settings, Battery and data manager and see if data roaming is "checked", if not, turn it on (all three items in this menu should be checked). I don't know how mine got unchecked but it did and that was my problem. 4G has been rock solid ever since. I'll report back if it starts acting up again.
