5.9.905, anyone? Pulled from Cheesecake server for your pleasure!

My GPS on 905 is almost instant and is spot on every time I test it. I have all 3 GPS sources enabled.
Whenever I have the verizon location service enabled, I noticed that it always instantly locks me on but its always says that its accurate up to like 800 meters. Not really the best. But whenever I use JUST the GPS, (no google location or verizon) on .904, it seems to be alot better than it was on .901

What would happen if I decided to be a bawse and flash the .905 over the .904? Would I brick after the script is being run?

You can't do that. The update.zip would certainly fail immediately. It runs a check for .902 components first before updating. That's why the .905 zip is named in a manner that indicates that it's made for updating .902.

Have not been able to find a way to roll back from 904 to 902 so I can then bump into 905. Where can I get the file to do this on my unrooted bionic?

anyone else notice that the app drawer search key bug has been fixed?

Battery life seems way better than .902...Just my initial impression after calibrating the battery

I saw no improvement whatsoever with .905. I rolled back to .902 using the FXZ. I dropped data three times in five days after going three months on .902 with zero data drops. Battery life between the two builds was no different. Basically, the phone is rock solid on .902 and I'll curse the day I'm forced to upgrade to something else.

902 was horrible I had data drops and then it would take forever for it to switch from 3 g to wifi and wifi to 3 g 904 was much better than 902 but it killed my battery I really like 905 it's like 904 but with a better battery life. I guess not all phones react the same to the software

I've been on stock .902 but made the jump to .905 about a week ago hoping that it sticks as the OTA. I couldn't be happier with the update. My data drops from .902 are totally gone. Battery life is wonderful as well. I actually went back to the stock smaller battery and can get 11 hours on a charge with moderate use which I could never get before.

One thing I noticed is that Google+ was installed via the update and now cannot be removed. I don't use Google+ much so that's why I noticed.

Now I'm just hoping we get an ICS leak soon. . . . . .

Well I've been on 904 for the past couple of weeks, but I'm going to go back to 902 because of...... DATA CONNECTION ISSUESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS D:
I had to do an airplane mode cycle today for the first time since december! :icon_eek:
Would anyone recommend trying out 905 over 902? Or should I just wait till an OTA or another cheesecake? I love trying out the leaks but 904 just doesn't cut it! It makes me worried that 905 would be just about the same...

System app remover to remove ..... system apps! Or many use titanium to remove or freeze them.

OK, about a week or so later:

Data connections are rock solid. Since the last post I made, I've had no drops. I've also made sure to let the boot scripts complete before messing around with the phone. Handoff from 3G to 4G and vice versa (made on a daily basis, I live in 4G but work in 3G) have been perfectly fine.

GPS - I have only had a single issue of GPS issues, earlier yesterday when it all of a sudden popped up saying that the location I was at does not exist (LOL! I'm in a timewarp!!!!). 5 minutes later the message disappeared - I assume the phone retracted its statement once it realized just how foolish it was being....

Overall, I'm liking .905 better than .904, but I also realize that I went to .904 about a week before my city received 4G, so I cannot compare it to .902 and the handoffs and GPS there.

HTH

Per a PM, let me clarify:

I'm making my comments from CM9 SelfKang in safestrap.

I'm on the .905 leak and running eclipse 2.2 with no issues.
do you mind telling me the steps on how to do so after installing 905. after attempting to install 2.2, it gets stuck on the eclipse boot screen. i went back to the 2.2 install instructions and it also says you have to be on 902 to install, is this true (i'm pretty sure i've done it in the past w/o going back to 902). any help would be appreciated!

Yes...you have to be on 902 before going to 905. If youre on 904...tucknology over at droid hive wrote a script to get you back to 902.

Once on 905...eclipse 2.2 build 07 stable..no issuea
