[ROM] [6/18/12] CM9 ICS For the Droid Pro

Whenever I try to turn on wifi and connect to a network, it says "Authentication problem". I did the mac address fix in the emulator and double checked the password for the network. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi,

I am able to receive text SMS's ... but unable to send any ... it shows 'sending ...'
Any help to set/reset the SMS settings is appreciated ...
thanks.

I still have trouble with the keyboard back light. Getting quite desperate here

I sbf to 4.6.8, root, install OTA root keeper, update to 4.7.3 via SD card, re-acquired root via OTA root keeper, install Droid 2 Bootstrap, boot strap, reboot into recovery, wipe data/cache, wipe cache, wipe davlik cache, install CM9, install GAPPS, reboot and no back light. Set the back light in the display and reboot, no change.....

Hi,

Is it just me or anybody else having this issue too ...
I am able to receive text SMS's but unable to send it ... checked the SMSC numbers and all ... all seems well but text SMS's not going ...

(after dialing #*#*4636#*#* -> Phone Imformation -> SMSC field shows the correct SMS messaging center for my network when i press 'refresh' ... so the settings seem fine)

Just don't know what's the reason SMS text messages are not going out !!!

Help appreciated !!!

When you say "set the backlight", do you mean you turned on automatic backlight?

CM9, installed it twice on Droid Pro no.1. Motorola stock SW has back light, but as soon as I get into CM9, the back light is gone.
My Droid Pro no. 1 is now running CM7 with no issues at all.

I've just tried Droid Pro no.2. Same thing, no back light even if I check the Automatic backlight ticked.

Would u be willing to flash CM9 back and confirm ... coz as I am writing now ... my KB back light is ON ... In the past I too had experienced instances when there was no back light ...

I just did on my Droid Pro no.2, still no backlight. No idea which step to do differently to have it on.

Great ... then try this go to Display - Automatic Backlight - and uncheck everything there ...

Now go to brightness setting and move the slider to increase ... let me know if your KB back light springs back to light ... if No ...then we'll try step 2 ...

You're the man! The brightness of the keyboard lit up as soon as I moved the slider to max brightness.
It was originally set to 30% or so, so it was dark.

After doing this trick, I think the backlight is alright now.

Thank you very much!!!

Seems like its a little bug just like the KB shortcut bug where the keyboard stops typing and apps start opening when certain keys are pressed to type ... a little long press to the search key brings it out in action ... even this KB back light for some unknown reason goes to sleep(coma) and does not wake up on the power button wake ... just a slight shot of brightness will bring it back to life ... I suggest u add the brightness toggle switch to ur notification widget and when ever it dies out u can click on this toggle switch to spring it back to light !

Yup, that's what I do.

Anyway, I'm back on CM9 now. I just couldn't get used to CM7 after having CM9. I didn't have any trouble with the recovery restoring the backup. I think you may want to just start from scratch, dude. You've had a lot of problems, which leads me to believe that either your phone is messed up, or your install went wrong. A clean reflash will eliminate the problem if it was just a corrupted install.

Thanks freak4dell ...
My recovery thing worked last time I tried restoring my CM7 backup ... must've sorted out while I was moving between builds ...

Yeah I've had to face some strange problems ... but thankfully I cud find alternatives to it ...

1. The GSM network selection couldn't succeed when tried coming clean to CM9 build ... alternatively I found that if I came in from a working GSM build CM7 or Gummy and just formatted ... /system ... leaving data & cache as it is ... then I had CM9 working on GSM ...

2. Freak4dell ... u r on GSM right ? ... does outgoing text SMS work for u on CM7 & CM9 ... didn't work for me ... alternatively I found that if I came from Gummy to CM9 in the above fashion (data / cache left untouched) then I had outgoing SMS's working for me on CM9 ...

Currently I have a great install where except for videocam ... pretty much everything(camera too) else seem to be working (EVEN IF IT WERE THRU ALTERNATE ROUTES DESCRIBED ABOVE)

Thanks for this great ROM JC ... this super cedes my last favorite ... i'e ... the Gummy build ...
