[ROM] [6/18/12] CM9 ICS For the Droid Pro

Any chance we can incorporate the newly found hardware acceleration exploit on the Droid X2 into this ROM? (Locked Motorola Devices Get Full Hardware Acceleration! – xda-developers)

Jackpot, if you were able to do this you are awesome. What are your thoughts on the increased RAM usage on CM9? I'm currently running your CM7 on my Droid Pro and have more than 240 MB free normally, how low do you think it would dip on CM9?

I don't know if it's the same (didn't look at the article) however I will probably be pushing out a rom this weekend w/ full HWA. This isn't the same as the one that Jackpot put out however it's based off the same base source.

We've got one more issue w/ Netflix to fix but other than that everything seems to be working good

I wouldn't go so far to call myself a developer.. heh

The droidpro is very simular to the droid2we and there's a very good repo for the X/D2/D2WE that I do some work on. I've been merging in the pro files and building roms for my wife for about 6 months now based off that source.

We recently just upgraded the pvr libs and obtained about 99% HWA for the X/D2/D2WE and now that it's pretty stable i'm working on updating the pro rom accordingly.

Well u are close ... u understand things u mix two things and cook up(develop) a third one ...

By my standards ... u can be called one ...

Thanks for ur efforts to enrich the DP user community ... look forward to testing ur ROM ... I am a GSM user BTW ...

Great to see that desterly is stepping up. If he didn't I would consider that (haha, a lot of exciting stuff going on, so I gotta prioritize the things that I choose to do).

Big cheers to desterly!

PS: Jackpot, you crazy man. He was working on JB for the KF already!
PS: Aiamuzz, do you have a stuck period key or something ;-)?

It's coming along.. the wife has been running it for the past couple days and it seems fairly stable but there's a few items I need to update still (a few commits to the master branches that should fix the issues i'm seeing). We are still trying to figure out what's going on with netflix but otherwise it's working good. It's great to see full HWA on these devices under ICS

I'll probably have a build ready to post in the next couple days.

I will say that i was highly disappointed to see the lack of low level updates for this.

I pushed mine up to 4.7.3.XT610 to pull the "latest" proprietary files off only to find that only 1 (of about 40) files was actually updated from the prior OTA and that one file we don't even use.

Thankfully we build most of our device from source now so it's not a big deal.. just a little disheartening.

Hope things are going smooth ... motorola and verizon have been as unsupportive as can be ... starting with our bootloaders ...

another question
You can update this CM9 to CM10, since the differences are not so many? thanks

I just fixed audio again w/ the latest OMX libraries on my X so I have to build it for the pro to make sure it still works OK there.

Netflix doesn't crash anymore but still shows a black screen so we still have to fix that.

I'm doing a full build right now for the X and pro so I'll test it on my wife's pro tomorrow and if it's OK will upload.

We are working on merging in JB but there are actually quite a few changes for our 'Unofficial' roms so it might be a bit before we get JB up and running.

Hey Desterly, I cloned and started your build on github a couple of days ago, GSM wasn't working so I wonder if you had experienced the same issue. If that's the case I wonder if you could upload the new source so I can find ways to fix it easier.
