You could try craigs list. Some one might get one and want to trade it for a Droid X plus some cash.

So I've had a vertical green line of pixels on my phone and decided to get used to it. Could I use this to my advantage to trade for the Thunderbolt? Could I buy it for $250-$300, or would I still have to pay full retail price?

If you're under warranty then take it back and get a replacement DX. Verizon has stopped allowing upgrades with warranty replacements.
