About to root, I got questions

I am about to root my droid x and install a rom. How can I make sure I get all my aplications back once I install a new rom? So I do not have to download each individualy. I would prefer a free way if there is one.

Also any suggestions for a great fast and battery saving rom?

Also I used to have a rooted droid 1 and used set cpu to underclock when sleepign to save battery. Can i still use this on the droid x once rooted to do the same?

use titanium backup or mybackup pro.

and yes u can use profiles on the DX but its not gonna be with kernels

ok i just rooted and am goign t install lexlite 2.0 from here:

i was just looking at the instructions but am confused to i need to get bootstrapper or something to actually install? A little clarification on the install processes would be great cause its a little vague. Thanks!

Yes, you must have kushs bootstrapper...
