Accelerometer concerns

Yes it does...I still have the Storm and I am patiently waiting to upgrade to either the Rezound or the Nexus. I am glad that someone else brought this up. I am assuming that this issue can be addressed in software updates. For thos of you that had or still have the OG Droid, how was that in the beginning?
Initially there was a *small* big of lag when transitioning from landscape to portrait and vice versa, but it sped up a lot with updates. I do know that the LTE Nexus now has 4.1, which hopefully fixed this. P3 said the device is flawless now. Hope the update to 4.1 did speed this up.

There is a small bit of lag. I don't mind it at all. Certainly not a deal breaker for me. Currently have a rezound because my tbolt finally died. It's okay. Just a rental till the gnex is released.

Seems like that is a feature that shouldn't be an issue out of the box. A feature that has been in phones for years.

I think its probably a software issue that hopefully can be fixed with updates. I have a touchpad and it originally would rotate all the time, however after the first or second update it was fine.

It's confirmed, on another thread, the Gnex has issues. Someone when to the store in NY and tested it.

Why would they let this get through? Very surprising this is acceptable to Google and Samsung.

I always turn that feature off because it was always too sensitive. It would always turn when I didn't want it to. So I am glad they have it set to not be so sensitive.

I agree with this. Not a turn off or a concern

This is not an issue, it is a blessing. Nobody needs that darn thing flippin all over the place so quick. It's a pain in the ars. Those of you that want it all quick flippy and such will be able to have that I'm sure with all the development that will happen with this phone. Everyone will be able to have what they want with this thing which is awesome!

Saying this is an "issue" is just silly nonsense.

Yea I def agree, I don't want my the transition being super fast. As it is with my D3 its pretty frustrating when I place my phone on the table and it switches into landscape, then I need to pick it up again to have it rotate back. Or when I'm trying to put my headphones in and the screen starts flipping at the slightest tilt.

Thats not to say I want it super slow mind you, but I def prefer a delay.

You know, if we talk about this enough, maybe Google will make the response time of the screen rotation adjustable in a future update.

Issue !? This is how it should've been in the first place , thank god they fixed it . Screen changing at the slightest tilt was really annoying , especially while trying to change a song while driving and hit the wrong button cause the screen tilted while picking up the phone .

Is the D3 instant? Meaning as you turn the phone the screen turns with it? that is what I'm looking for.

Nah not that fast haha. There is about a 1 second delay from when the position is changed.

Thats true, and I doubt it would really be that difficult since a couple of launchers allow you to adjust the speed of transition effects. Then everyone could be happy.
