Add Place names in the Google Map?

Hello all,
I am trying to figure out how to add place names on the Map. For example, I want to set up my house, so that I can navigate back to it by choosing to navigate to 'Home', or whatever alias I choose in case someone steals my phone, but I can't seem to actually manually add a name, it seems like I have to add a contact, give them an address and dio it from there, which is cool, but a lot of extra work if I just want to pick a point on a map and label it and then navigate to that without a contact.

Am I missing something here?

Until Google improves things, this might be your best option:

Star whatever location you want to use.
Go into Google Bookmarks via the web interface, and you'll be able to edit the name of Starred Locations -- then that will sync to your phone.

Thanks rjax, that worked. Muzhik, I like your suggestion too, but I'm still trying to figure out just what I want to place on my home screens... I mean, with the Incredible, I'm limited to 7, so I've got to be careful of space and all.....
