Hold it! Found one much better than Photon. It's called Flashfox and it's from Mozilla! No ads; just like Firefox, in fact it's built on FF. It's early in my testing, but this may be the best answer to Adobe's non-support of Android for Flash video!

Adobe Flash is as good as dead, it was killed by Apple, many sites are moving away from it because IOS doesnt support it. HTML 5 will be our future!

I don't feel it had anything to do with Apple at all. It's dead/dying because it has been such a big security issue for so long and because HTML 5 is going to take it's place. I wouldn't want to be in Adobe's shoes where all the releases they have had for a very long time have only bneen to plug security holes. It gets tired after a while.

It may be the future but it's been a very poor rollout. Not enough sites support it yet and thus there's the constant issue of dealing with flash crashing and no available alternative. Just lots of headaches so far.

I think it's mildly amusing for people who use Apple products to proclaim that not having Flash is no big deal. It is still widely being used. If it doesn't make a difference take it off your PC. We'll see how long that lasts. :biggrin:

Adobe killed Flash not Apple. Mr Jobs hatred of Flash was more about lack of security than anything that it eventually morphed into. Html5 will be a stop gap while the next thing is being worked on and eventually gets implemented. What that is, nobody knows yet but it won't be html5, hence the slow adaptation to it overall.
