Advice on cases/covers...

I am supposed to get the Droid within the next week, and I prefer to have a case to go with it, simply because it makes me feel a little safer if i accidently drop it. Any advice on which cases are recommended? and besides that, are screen covers useful and do they affect the touch screen in any ways? Thanks.

I have both a case and a screen cover. Many here don't get screen covers because the glass is scratch resistant. I prefer to be safe as the screen protector does not affect the touchscreen or the operation of the phone in any way.

As for cases it really depends on what you need. Bodyglove is a great, durable case. I just have a clear/blue plastic case on mine that provides a bit of extra scratch protection and a little extra impact protection. Silicon will protect from scratches but not drops. There are also case/holster combos and pouches.

i use the screen protector...doesn't have any affect on the touch screen. I tried a bunch of cases and ended up with the verizon shell/holster combo. Works great and holds the phone screen toward the inside when in the holster....so it can't accidently bump up against stuff.

  • seidio innocase
  • sgp anti-fingerprint screen protector
  • golla "holster"
That's my setup. Works great for me!:icon_ banana:
