After i root... how to install 2.2?

I just downloaded mine and the rom manager from the Market.

So does anyone care to put that in a 1,2,3 step format?

I rooted my Verizon Droid X with the one click root:

I have Barnacle WiFi Tether, but I think that only allows 1 device at a time, correct?

what do you want explained?

There is mention in this thread of recovery manager, bootstrap, rom manager, etc. (is the ROM different than the 2.2 OS)

What is mandatory just to go to 2.2, what is optional that this person "wants"?

Where can I download the right version of 2.2 for a Verizon Droid X (or all they all the same)?

What is the best way to back it up first?

Would prefer not to end up bricking phone

At this point if you have not put 2.2 on your phone, just wait for tomorrow and get the OTA pull, then reroot.
