Aftermarket battery

I bought a couple cheap batteries off ebay for back up batteries. They won't charge in the phone but work fine otherwise. I get the battery icon with a question mark and invalid battery message. Anyone have a solution for this other than getting motorola batteries?

Did you try wiping battery stats/battery calibration? Not sure if it'll make a diff but ya never know
