I have been using it to allow me to fly a plane. Wow, guess I was wrong. You can turn WIFI on while in airplane mode to connect up.

I never thought about flying a plane with it. Droid is smart!

Yes, but first you have to get the game Armageddon Squadron and use the linkup mode.

Seriously, there's a r/c helicopter coming out that can be controlled with an iPhone. It even has a camera so you can see what it sees. I hope they'll have it set up with the Android too. There's more info at http://ardrone.parrot.com/parrot-ar-drone/en

I just put mine in airplane mode and launched it across the room. It circled around the conference room and landed back on my desk.

With the resurgence of last week's reports that cell phone use may be linked to brain tumors I've started making it a habit that anytime I let my 3-year old play with my phone or my wife's phone that we put it in airplane mode.

Am I correct in assuming that in airplane mode since the cell radio is off the radiation emitted goes down dramatically?

I know the best thing is not let young children even play with a cell phone but if you have a 3-year old you know it's easier said than done.

Only allow him to play with it if he's wearing his led vest and led lined jockstrap.... or just realize that its not going to matter in the long run as the sun gives Jr a bigger does of radiation per exposure than a silly cell phone. But if you prefer to live in constant fear....go for it

Might as well not let him near the microwave, your light sockets. These studies come and go because they have no real answers for cancer.

Just my thoughts. And airplane mode stops your phone from transmitting data, calls etc.

But seriously, did you know that CFL bulbs put out more radiation than a cell phone and that it is recommended to limit the time you have those lights on?
