the white screen is it unresponsive or can you hit home screen back or search. Because basically i know one screen is white but it is trying to sync but cant because you dont have wifi or 3g, so basically you have to skip that screen and get into the home screen so you can do a factory reset.

Detailed step by step guide:
1) If you are running a rom or a leaked version of p3 droid use sbf and just get back to stock 2.3.20. (after running sbf make sure you wipe data and cache so you dont bootloop)
2) root your phone
3) install droid 2 bootstrap recover app from the market
4) download p3 droid gb (it will say masterupdater)
5) boot into bootstrap recovery mode
6) install the rom like you would any other rom
7) reboot (it will take a few for it to boot up)
8) because your phone is not activated its going to still trying to sync, skip all that and go into settings, privacy, and do a factory data reset.
9) after you boot up again you will see the green android, hit the back button so you can activate your phone
10) sign in and enjoy.

If you were to wipe data and cache before installing the rooted gb, that's should prevent bootloops? Or am I mistaken?

WHo was having bootloops. I did not suggest it because it was not in the steps laid out by P3 and he said follow the steps exact and that is what I did and I did not have any bootloop problems.
I was reading that thread, and lots of folks were bootlooping and crying about how they were screwed. I think, they just didnt follow directions, but I was wondering if it would hurt or help the process really. I normally wipe data and cache when I install new roms, should this be any different?

Gingerbread problems
So obviously since it is a leak, I don't expect everything to be perfect, but just wanted to create a thread for all of the issues with the leaked gingerbread.
These are what I am getting:
When I press and hold the punctuation button in blur kb it reads my touch as being way higher.
We must have gotten the swype for the dx, because it says it is formatted for a different phone and the swype part of swype does not actually work.
There is a weird blue haze that comes up or down when you try to move past the end of a menu.
There's some other stuff but I can't think of it right now. What have you noticed? I am running the rooted mode.

I agree some of that stuff dont work. This is a test build and not a final. I expect we will see the final within weeks.
