I'm trying to do the same thing, but...
When you get to the "after the drivers are done installing, open a command prompt in the folder where you unzipped the full package to" step, how do I open a commands prompt in a certain folder?

so i have the ics alpha build and i wanted to know if anyone knows how to add widgets to the home screens. I have been playing with it and i have no idea. Please let me know. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice. thanks again for your response.
Scroll through the apps in your launcher, you'll scroll right into your widget choices. Also there's a tab at the top of the launcher.

I'm stuck on 886. Can I just flash the file from recovery and go straight to 902?

Well I just tried flashing that "Blur_Version.5.5.893.XT875.Verizon.en.US.zip" file in recovery and it failed. I dont remember the exact error. (I could try again if you need it.)
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have the most current moto drivers and my phone won't come up in RDSlite and I have tried everything I've found online and I can not get this thing to update! I'm about ready to throw it out the window and drive to the VZW store and buy a Nexus!
Edit: Oh and by the way, I'm on the .886 version and after trying a factory reset, my phone now tells me that my device is up to date!

The issue is that you don't flash FXZ files via recovery. You use RSD Lite (make sure you're using RSD Lite 5.6) to flash the FXZ file.
Make sure you have the the correct moto drivers installed (which version of windows are you using - xp, vista, 7? Also, 32 or 64 bit?).
You need to have your phone in charge only USB mode (double check this once you've plugged it in).
If the drivers are installed correctly on your computer, once you plug your phone in, you should see some other drivers installing (there may be a notification down by the clock on your computer).
As for the root exploit, plug in the phone (charge only mode) and run the .bat file in folder downloaded from the link on the instructions page. This step took me a few tries to get working...
