Alright Bionic owners, fixes may be on the way!

The higher the level of technologly means the more things that can go wrong. Would you rather they have waited another 6 months from now for the phone to be released for a few more bug fixes, or have it out now and rooted running a custom rom? Unfortunately things are gonna be like this for all phones now a days. If you dislike it, i'd hate to say it, but your welcome to go get an i*hone or a dumbphone.

I just think that companies will put any crap out on the market in order to make sales, knowing that the product is messed up. Thunderbolt anyone?

If Toyota put out cars that required you to gut the powertrain and install Honda parts(ROM) in order to get the car to work properly, I don't think that would fly. LOL

Look at software, same thing. MS releases a new OS and holy bugs! Updates needed like crazy! Same thing with PC games.

The battery charging thing its real, if you notice next time you charge your device; using a non Moto charger- the battery will take a very long time to charge up vs. using a moto charger-the battery will quickly charge. That can't be good for the battery in the long run...

That just sounds like the autofocus kicking in. Not really a problem if you keep focused on the subject but if you're moving around, it might be.

Yeah, that's the problem, when it's sat on a flat surface and never moved it sill tries to focus constantly. I wne to the vzw store and theirs does the same thing.

Maybe we should all just wait till after the FIRST update and see what that fixes, than we can all start complaining again.. :)

The moto bionic charger is a 5.1 volt charger vs. 5.0 volt chargers that every other phone seems to come equipped with. I use my moto charger at home and kept my old blackberry charger (5.0 volt) for use at work since my dual core murders my batteries. Yes, i charge and swap out my extended batt with my original on heavy use Sunday. Fantasy football and NFL network. However, I'm amazed at the huge difference .1 volt can make.

I must add that im getting extremely frustrated from apps disappearing a few days after download, contact pictures disappearing as well, 4g/3g connectivity problems, and the biggest one at the moment... Crashes every time i attempt to update apps thru the marketplace! Wtf? Everytime! This has gone on for a week. This phone is supposed to be the BEAST i waited 8 months for with a garbage BB Storm2. Get it together Motorola.

Mine is PLAGUED with the data dropping issue. It also seems to affect my WiFi when it happens if I'm in a place where I'm connected. Driving me CRAZY. Spoke with my account rep and he'll replace it with any other phone, but won't give me another Bionic cause Moto has acknowledged the issue. I use this in a corporate environment and it's really causing me some serious problems. The Charge sucks, the Revolutions stinks, and the battery on the Thunderbolt is crap. There isn't a single LTE phone on VZW that's worth a damn.

I put a standing order in with my rep for the iPhone 5, even if it's not LTE at least I'd have a consistent data connection. Apple's QC dept would never let something like this Bionic out the door. Granted many Apple products have had issues at launch, but nothing like this. Makes the phone useless if I can't even get SMS or E-mail. Seems to me like it was a total rush job while Moto tried to save face. I mean come on, it only has to work on 1 network and they can't even get that right. Now they expect us to wait 30+ days for a fix?!?!?!

No thank you!

It is this crap that makes the iPhone look good. With a larger screen iPhone 5, and iOS basically incorporating 90% of the functionality that Android has enjoyed over the past year, the gap between the two platforms will be a heck of a lot smaller. Many of the features and things that we enjoyed and came to Android for, are finally coming to the iPhone line. I read iOS5's page on Apple's website and the features list looks pretty solid. One can make the argument that they are a year late to the party, that Android had all of that a year ago, but the fact remains that if they have it now(well, in a month), and they have a larger screen, superior battery life and much higher Quality Control, why not consider one?

I love everything Android stands for and there are some cool phones and features out there, but the crap that keeps coming out is more and more buggy, as if just having a great spec sheet is going to be worth dealing with batteries that go dead before lunch time even when you are not using the phone and the screen is off(Tbolt), phones that spontaneiusly reboot at random times(DX and others), to this sort of stuff with the Bionic, it does make one wonder if perhaps not perfect, Apple might have the right idea in controlling everything about the phone...
