ALT + A on Droid keyboard

Look at the A key on your keyboard. Look at the Alt symbol above it. It looks like a tab symbol but when I press it, it does nothing. I can't figure out what it does!

I spent a bit of time trying to find an answer for this. I couldn't come up with anything. This is not surprising since I never use the physical keyboard. I'd like to see the OP get an answer, does anybody else know?

Okay used it know and I think I see. You need to push alt twice and then when you use the "a" button, it functions like the search key. I had no response though with using alt times 1 though
