I've been using Launcher Pro for months and have a UI that I put a lot of effort into and I really love, but LauncherPro is killing me lately. I get a force close pretty much every time I touch the phone and LP hasn't been updated in months. So I am looking for an alternative. One of the most important features for me is the scrollable Dock. Can anyone offer a suggestion?

Went with Go Launcher, I felt exactly like you did. Launcher pro was awesome when it seemed like it got support.

Gotta say I'm happy with Go Launcher. Fast, smooth, all that good stuff.

just wasted my money on ADW, only to find that go launcher has a scrollable dock. Will set it all up and see how things go.

THANKS

fyi adw has a scrollable dock as well, it's the hidden dock and you open it by sliding up the regular dock.

So, I'm setting up Go Launcher and looking for replacements for 2 LauncherPro Widgets which are the facebook widget and the people widget. Any recommendations?

Colorized widget in the market.

My issue with go launcher is the lack of themes and icon packs. Other then that it runs very well. But alas I am using ADW EX because of the icon packs and themes.

FYI, Launcher Pro support has been slow because the developer is working on re-writing the entire code from scratch.

Yeah but that rewrite has been working for months now. No word and no word on when it'll be done.

It's one thing to wait a few weeks, its another to not hear a thing.

I made the move to go launcher and took the time to rebuild my UI the way it was. I also installed the pure messenger and photo contacts widgets to achieve the functions I lost from launcherpro.

So far so good. Thanks for your help everybody.

I'm going to try GO Launcher for a bit. But at the moment I have a question. Is there a way to restart it like LP? I'm asking because once in a while the time goes way off on Beautiful Widgets, especially when the phone has been pulled off the multimedia dock. Restarting LP synced it back up; otherwise I'd have to either restart the phone or remove BW and re-install it.

I too have had problems with BW and LauncherPro. It's one of the reasons that prompted this thread. Anyway, I do not see a "restart" like launcherpro, but there is an "Exit Go Launcher". If I select that, it kills the launcher and puts back into the last app I was running. Pressing the home button seem to re-launch the launcher. So all is good.
