Am i the only one who just isn't happy

You can get the extended battery from Verizon for $25. I got 28 hours with moderate use out of mine.

I asked this same question in another thread but didn't get a reply...HOW are you getting this battery for $25 from Verizon? It's only giving me a 25% discount even after going through the checkout process. Total price is $37...what are you doing differently?

Verizon was running a half off deal not sure if they still are though.

If you are logging in to MyVerizon and you carry any sort of personal/ciorporate discount, then only that discount will be applied. To get the special half off ext battery you need to NOT log in as you. Then you will see the 50% at checkout.

I wonder what verizon does if we have a bad battery. not every single battery ever made is perfect. It's a freakin chemical reaction, give it some slack haha. Maybe they'll replace it. I wouldn't be unhappy just cause your battery sucks. It's not like the phone had anything to do with your batt not holding a charge. If you look at all the responses to this post you could use this as a case study and show that it's your battery and not the phone that's causing you so much unhappiness.

That did it! I forgot about that! I wish the higher discount would just take priority when placing the order! Once I got the 50% off I logged in so I could bill it to my account. Thanks for the tip!

Those are your widgets? And you're questioning the battery? Seriously?

  • Twitter: OK, I get you want to keep up to date with tweets and all, but do you really need this as a widget? If you do, you should expect your battery to be attacked. Twitter is effectively a stream. If you really must, at least just use monitter.com or something.
  • Forsquare: Dunno what this is, I assume it's more social networking. Battery killer.
  • Facebook: Battery killer. Open it when you need it, don't just have a widget out there sucking battery.
  • IMDB: Ok really? Open this when you need it, there's no reason to have this as a widget. Battery killer.
  • YouTube: Come on man. Open it when you need it, take this widget off. Better yet use the webpage as opposed to the actual app.
  • Last.fm: See YouTube.
  • Pandora: See YouTube.
  • Beautiful Widgets: This isn't much of a battery killer, but why do you need it as a widget? Why can't you open it when you need it?
  • My Quick Contact: Not much of a battery killer unless you're sync'ng all of your Facebook and Twitter and Email and whoever else contacts, then it's a problem. Open it when you need it.
  • Weather: Should be fine as long as it's not the Weather Beautiful one.
  • Blizzard Authenticator: Have no idea what this is, and I bet it doesn't need to be a widget.
  • Flashlight: I didn't even know Flashlight had a widget. Why would you do such a thing? Open it when you need it.
If you need quick access to any of these apps just add a shortcut to them on the home page(s) and hit them when you need. Your widget usage should be moderate at best, and the widgets you do have should be single-purpose, i.e. clocks and calendars. Anything else is draining your battery.

I just don't understand why so many people are so down on the Bionic's battery yet don't realize that running all sorts of widgets is going to kill the battery. Isn't it obvious?

Agreed. I guess I'm odd, because I don't need that kinda immediate access to that much information. I only use 2 widgets for the most part. Power Control and Quick Contacts. Everything else I just run when I need it...

I've seen some screenshots posted that have like 3 different weather widgets on 3 different screens. Really? Unless you're Al Roker or Willard Scott, why!?

Yeah there is something defective with your phone. I have my bionic on all day at work from 8am to 6pm and I am using it all day, not idle. When I get home I still have 40% battery left. The other day I even used it for Navigation and it still had 30% when I got home.

EDIT: Oh he was running a 100 widgets. Got it.

As for the screen I not sure what you mean by grain, I see no pixels like on AMOLED screens, and I see no grain on photos...

If you don't have 4G in your area (and won't be getting it for a while), I definitely advice returning your Bionic and get a 3G phone. When you get 4G in your area, then look at what's available then.

I believe the "Blizzard Authenticator" kicks in when you arrive at Dairy Queen and helps to verify that you are in fact eating a Blizzard.

Please don't post if you're not going to be nice. Just a friendly reminder.
