I just wiped and reinstalled. Now I can't get Maps to work (I have to 'reteach' how to fix it, I'm just lazy right now), and for some reason the Facebook app won't install/open/update now....
I think you have to put it in system\apps or whatever and set permissions, then reboot. You would use root explorer to accomplish this the easiest. A straight up apk install wouldn't work.
I've done APK installs before (fennec for example) where I downloaded it directly from the website using dolphin broswer, and installed it directly from the download folder (on the SD card). I used root explorer to put it into system/app, and edited all the permissions to allow everything, and it still doesn't install.
When you go to set the permissions, only check off "Read" and "Execute" for User. DO NOT SET "WRITE". If you do that, it will work flawlessly.
When you try to download a song for the first time after this, it'll stop it but thats because the app just needs time to clear its cache and reset. So try to download a song, it'll fail and then try to download it again and then it'll go through.
