I am a big fan of my Droid X, and hope to be a bigger fan of it after I learn what can be done with it from the wealth or resources here. While I like to tinker with my electronics I am by no means a savvy fella when it comes to rooting, roms, etc... in fact, I will likely need a good lesson in proper terminology first and foremost.
In terms of what I want to accomplish with my phone - after having it for 13 months I have just rooted it, and would like to upgrade to a good-looking, fast and clean operating system going on it. In my initial searches I saw some folks have Ice Cream Sandwich (ICX for short, right?) going on their phones and I am jealous becx it looks awesome. Stock was nice, but I hated having all of the bloat on it because - well - just on principal, and I was getting bored with it! So I and my Droid X are just about ready to take the plunge into 'beast mode', with a little help
