The Android 2.2 SDK is now available from Google. First things first, to find out everything you wanted to know check out the latest Blog post about it from Google here:

Some of the more notable feature additions are:

  • Portable Wifi Hotspot
  • Better Exchange Support
  • Improved Speed

  • Support for Bluetooth enabled car and desk docks
  • Improved compatibility matrix with car kits and headsets

is fryo gonna come with 5 home screens or is that a no?

This is taken from the highlights section above "The Phone, applications Launcher, and Browser now have dedicated shortcuts on the Home screen, making it easy to access them from any of the 5 home screen panels."

So I'm assuming it will now have 5 screens.
 
This update certainly sounds promising. Does anyone know what the time line is looking like? Not necessarily the date of release but the order; will 2.2 be pushed to all high end Android devices simultaneously? Hopefully the Droid isn't last if this isn't the case.

I await someone to sarcastically tell me to read some article that was posted covering these queries already. ;)

Nexus One later today, supposedly...this will help in some initial tinkering for some devs. Once the source is out though..it.iS.ON!!
