Android 3.0 Gingerbread Details Emerge

I'm definatly not worried about the droid not getting gingerbread i got my droid in december and wont be eligible for awhile but i know cyanogen will defiantly help us out in this department and I can gurantee that the motorola droid will have no problem running 3.0 almost as smooth as all the other devices. The droid can be OC'd to 1.3. Its going to take awhile to get it working but if the G1 runs 2.2 which i heard that they are getting it going then the great developers at android with have no problem porting gingerbread to the droid

I think it's a bit early to assume that considering we haven't even seen what 3.0 entails yet.

Speed will not be the issue, but RAM will. Seems like many are already running into an issue with the RAM, so pack in a few extra goodies in Gingerbread and something has to give.

I just kinda noticed this:

Android 3.0 Gingerbread will be released in mid- October (around 15 -16th), 2010. First handsets shipping in November/December – for the Holiday Season.

If its being released in Oct, it would run on the droid x right? And other phones 1 ghz or higher, so what handsets are they referring to that will be released in Dec? I know the pro is scheduled to be released around then but why do they associate new handsets with a system update..??

suddenly I don't feel as frustrated that I'm not eligible for the early upgrade on the Droid X. I guess July next year I'll be getting the best of the best. God only knows what that will be.
