If they'd had read my posts in the thread about the NFL on this forum they'd have placed their money elsewhere. I tried to warn folks they are vulnerable this year defensively.
B.O.T. , every Verizon device I've ever had was last to get updated, if it got updated at all but Samsung also has a habit of abandoning devices long before their usefulness has expired.

As I mentioned previously, Verizon was the first to roll out 4.4.4 on the S5....at least 3 weeks before other carriers. (And there are STILL carriers that haven't pushed it out) So continuing to tell people "this is how it was in the past, so that means this is how it's going to be in the future", is just plain wrong imo. That's as bad as saying, because my Galaxy S2 had terrible battery life, I'll never get another Samsung device. Simply preposterous.

My G2 on Verizon was last to get the 4.4.2 update though.. It's only a year old. So they're still pretty bad. I only know if two devices that received updates timely, that was the first gen Moto X and the S5. That's a pretty bad track record.

I agree completely, not a good record on older devices. Newer devices aren't quite as bad. But this is SOP for every carrier on year old devices. (at least on 90% of phones)
