Android 9 corrupted my sd card

My phone updated in my z2 force and corrupted my extra as card and it won't even reformat. How do you fix this

Get a new card. Happened to me right after an OS update once also. The card would not format in Android or in a Windows laptop. It was toast. I lost some pics, but bought a new one and moved on. That's when I started backing up my pics to Google Photos. I don't trust SD cards and Android very much.

I thinks it's bad that an Android update would turn it to toast.

I do too. But it happens. And sometimes SD cards just go bad for no reason. It's just the way it is. I wouldn't trust anything on an SD card that's not also backed up somewhere else. I don't even use one in my current phone, 128GB of internal is enough for me.

My z2 force has 64gb internal and is always around 9gb free .
