oh well, it was worth a try
i posted earlier today that i though i made some headway... apparently i was wrong, i could only dream, but see below, its telling me that ANY version of the "new interface" markets are crap..
so i sbf'd my phone back to froyo (did the overkill 3X wipe), with ONLY one acct set up (primary) market was working, and showing me some apps... nothing in my 150+ list other than purchased apps...
online market shows "There are no Android devices associated with this account." how nice, even if the app shows my purchased apps... [edit took a little while]
oh well, i was thinking, good, it "mostly " works, so lets force the OTA update, (mind you, again im on 100% unrooted STOCK Droid X roms here, fully approved and released by MotoRizon, )
can you guess what happened when i open the market app 3.1.5... you guessed it, the "my apps" section is 100% blank again.... so,
google, forget blaming this on roms, or unapproved sideloaded apps... i have installed nothing but a few of my purchased "nonroot" apps, like keyboard, and cover art downloader apps. (was not able to do this thru the WEB interface, as it STILL does not see a device(derp, correction, it just showed up on web interface after i typed that line, but still no apps) ), as you can tell, im typing and kicking at the same time... just did a uninstall of the market, and im back at the doid X (605) stock market v2.3.4, and im getting my list of apps, plus what i installed before the OTA... pushing an app from the web interface.... erp... didnt do it in time, market is forcing another damn update of itself to 3.1.5... an can you guess?.... blank... DAMNIT, im fed up with the new markets, back to my liberty 3 rom and im KILLING the market updater service, going to force the 2.3.4 market and keep emailing google daily about the problem. what i dont get, its just the "my apps" part thats wonkey, if you do a search for the apps you know you have installed, it will tell you its installed, and if there are updates for it...even allows you to update... at least appbrain works to fill in this gap
my fiance has the evo3d with no market problems ..because she is running v2.3.6 (it also works on my droidX), so there you have it, if you are rooted, kill the updater service app, totally remove any trace of the market, and force an older version on there, ill let you know how it goes...
this is something on google's servers... period.. i will hit send here, then back to emailing the google rep i have been dealing with
my footprint version is fine, ive tried "turning it off and on again", ive even put clothepins on my nipples
, nothing works... oi, google, want me to buy the nexus, better fix the market, its been hell since the "version check " changes. time to SBF so i can take my prefered rooting route from froyo (not very lucky with the one click root) while i type the next part
just for gits and shiggles:icon_ lala:, im going to post what i thought was the fix, and if you do the extra part ill enter , it may continue working for you
this is all under the assumption you are ROOTED, and running Titanium backup (or know the way to do some of the same functions TB makes easier, this is gonna be a sloppy posting, i feel ill be wasting my time..but here goes (usual BS disclaimer here, its all on your head if you hose it worse, make a nandroidbackup if it makes you happy:icon_ banana
-Stop market
-wipe market
-stop google services framework
-wipe framework
-uninstall (FULLY) market updates, and market itself
-with a root explorer, go into root/system/apps locate the market update.apk and rename it to something like *.hold (do not delete it as this thing may get fixed one day and it helps to get official versions) you can skip this step if you want to try to get a fully refreshed version of the market
-reboot into CWR, wipe cache, and dalvik cache (i did this because the market 3.3.11 was still lingering there and kept updating to it, the wipes seems to take care of that)
-boot back up (with no market installed at all)
-install an old market version if you can find one, (do a search for one, they are linked on this site in several places, im using v 2.3.6)
-goto titanium backup and force the market to be a system app (do this by long pressing the market in the list, you will see the option near the bottom)
-wipe data and framework again.
-reboot and good luck.
