Android wear update

My original Huawei Watch is on the 2.15 Wear OS, are you saying I'll get the update? I ask that because it's been more than a year since I had a firmware update...
Cheers
From what I read, all watches currently running Wear OS 2.0 should receive the new OS update.

That seems incomplete because there are many watches that didn't get official Wear OS.

I thought the same. I don't wear it daily anymore, but I'm pretty sure my LG Urbane didn't get "official" Wear OS.

Just sharing what I read. I didn't have time to dig any deeper & see how they came to that small list of devices not getting it.

If you ask me, Google would be smart to breathe new life into existing watches (at least to a point). Since the market has gone very stale outside of groups like us, making people fire them back up who've had them in a drawer could help spur a rebound.

I don't wear mine regularly anymore because of my current job, but I do strap it on when we go out & etc., but not always. I might find more excuses to wear it outside of work if it got a fresh OS update.

Maybe Google thinks that way too. Check this out: Exclusive: Google Confirms No Pixel Watch This Year

From the interview:

Don’t consider the feature-packed upgrade Wear OS 3.0, though.

“We want to move away from version numbers,” Barr said. “Version numbers led us into a trap where we can only update once a year. Wear OS experience is evolving, and this is the start of that evolution. We want to keep rolling out improvements on a regular basis so users aren’t pent up waiting.”

I hope that's the case. The OS is still young & was largely neglected for a while. It makes sense to me to only push phone updates once a year, but I think they still have a chance to turn Wear OS into something like what they say there.

Your 360 Gen 2 is not running Wear OS / Android Wear 2.0? All four of mine are.
