Another reboot issue

My X is less than 24 hours old. I have not rooted it and have only put on one of the recommended launchers from here and a few other standard apps (like Pandora). I did the update earlier today as well.

It has probably restarted 12 times today. A couple times while playing with Pandora, once while texting and then on its own as well.

I've searched the forums and saw some others with the same issue but it looked like they had all rooted theirs, so I was checking to see if I am having a different problem.

Its no picnic but a factory reset is said to have fixed the issue. You will have to redo the phone but its probably easier than dealing with reboots

I have had mine since saturday and have had the same issue. Probably rebooted itself a minimum of thirty times yesterday and today. Probably ten times the day I got it.

Was extremely hesitant to switch from my Blackberry and as of right now wish I hadn't. All the fru fru bells and whistles don't mean crap if I don't have a stable well running device.

Another day into it. I let the battery die almost completely and recharged overnight.

The phone is alot cooler today but after three he's and only sending a few texts its down to 40%.

But the good news being the reboots have stopped.

Battery use showing 86% due to droid OS.

So far this phone is sad.

Mine was reboot city before and after factory reset, root, custom roms, sbf's and every other trick. I got a new one coming tomorrow. Just tell vzw you've already done a factory reset, uninstalled all downloaded apps, etc (which I did) and they overnighted me a new one.

Yeah that's the plan. Have already done a factory reset and even with nothing but the preloaded stuff its eating the battery and rebooting again.

I noticed my battery use numbers are nothing like what most people say theirs is. Mine is beig run to death by the OS and I dont see how that's possible.
