...... I am thinking of buying the Anker Astro 5600mAh Backup External Battery Pack for $30 at amazon.com .... What do you think of this?

I think you should give the standard battery a try for a while. It may be adequate. Why assume that it won't last? It all depends on YOUR usage, not what others claim. My phone's battery lasts all day and is rarely below 30% when I plug it in at night.

Just helped my sister get this who was limping along on a Droid X. She's a student so money is hard to come by and was really wanting a new phone. Hard to pass this up at this price. Especially when I sell her Droid X and she ends up in the black on the swap.

I still prefer my Gnex though

I just got my fiance one yesterday who was still on the og droid. The store was showing the rezound for the regular price. I asked them "isn't this on sale for $49"? She looked at me like I was crazy. I told her to look it up, and she did. Then asked her manager if they could match it, and they did. I love my rezound, and my fiance definitely needed a new phone. She has always wanted the rezound ever since I got mine.

This sale is just for one week.

My wife had to go up the management chain to get this ordered.

Last week I had my wife order me a $49 Bionic upgrade, but regretted the decision in less than two hours and had her cancel the order. We received no phone as expected, but could not order the Rezound because the Verizon computer systems did not show the contract upgrade as being available anymore. So, due to the many phone calls, waiting, and checking our account online everyday, the manager threw in a FREE extended battery with cover.

Nice. Just be glad you got the Rezound instead of the Bionic. Rezound has very little issues. Bionic has many.

Yeah, I bought mine a week before it dropped in price...paid $199 but I confirmed with the sales person that if it dropped in price I would get the difference back...which she said yes. Sure enough, it drops in price! I called and the first person I spoke with tried to brush me off but I after a few transfers and about 15 minutes of waiting got the confirmation that yes, I would get $150 credit. Stoked!:biggrin:

I told her the only reason I want my upgrade adjusted is because of the $50 tag through 3/9.

My wife thinks the reason behind the $49 deal is that another Verizon HTC phone may be debeuing soon , and they need to get rid of this model from their inventory.

This is what my business wife thinks. Even if she is right, the new model won't sell for $49
